New Orange is a digital technology agency. With around 90 team members, we create digital solutions for clients such as BabyBunting, Southern Phone and Moonee Valley Racing Club.
We work from our offices in Australia (Melbourne), the Netherlands ('s-Hertogenbosch and Tuil) and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).
As a Tester / Quality Engineer, you're the driving force behind quality in the team. You understand better than anyone that quality isn't just about bugs - it's about clarity, reliability, and identifying risks early on. You look beyond test scenarios and actively contribute to improving the entire development process.
You'll work on digital platforms that need to be stable, scalable, and easy to maintain. For you, quality starts with clearly defined user stories and acceptance criteria. You develop a thoughtful testing approach, automate where possible, and actively foster a shared quality mindset within your team.
You work closely with your colleagues not only on technical content but also on team development. You coach others, share knowledge on testing tools and modern methods, and aren't afraid to get hands-on yourself.
01
You focus on working closely with your colleagues, as well as with specialists from our clients and partners.
02
You are a skilled professional who keeps developing yourself because you love what you do.
03
You take responsibility for yourself and your team. And you look beyond the boundaries of your own area of expertise.

At New Orange, we work in multidisciplinary teams. You're involved from the very first project phase and contribute to both technical and process decisions.
We work iteratively, usually in two-week sprints. Our teams have a high level of ownership and direct communication with clients. You have the freedom to choose the approach that best fits the context - for example, implementing regression tests, improving pipelines, or setting up a test strategy for new features.

In this role, you translate user stories into clear acceptance criteria and test scenarios. You bring a quality- and test-first mindset to the team. With tools like Cypress or playwright, you build and maintain automated tests. You integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test coverage and reliability. When issues arise in production, you dig in to uncover their root cause and advise on structural quality improvements.
You contribute to test strategy, tooling and proces improvements. You coach colleagues on testing awareness and the use of test tools, stay curious about new developments in the field, and share your insights so the whole team keeps learning and improving.
You operate at bachelor's level of working and thinking, preferably with an IT background, and you bring solid experience in software testing within digital projects. You understand and apply Agile, Scrum, and DevOps principles, and you have hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar. You're also familiar with CI/CD pipelines and know how to integrate tests into them. You work in a structured way and think critically about quality at every level. On top of that, you're proactive, precise, and communicate clearly.
We set high standards when it comes to craftsmanship and collaboration. Our people are at the heart of everything we do - they are our most valuable asset. We'd love to meet you and explore opportunities to work together.
You can expect a 32 to 40-hour work week, a competitive salary based on your skills and experience, and at least 27 vacation days based on full-time employment. We also offer a solid pension plan and plenty of room to grow: in your role, and both personally and professionally. That way, both you and New Orange continue to develop.
