New Orange B.V.
KVK 81473141
Do you have at least five years of experience with Azure and move effortlessly between architecture and hands-on implementation? Do you work with Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and modern cloud-native architectures, and do you design cloud environments with security, scalability, and structure as core principles? Then this role at New Orange could be a great fit for you.
As a Cloud Engineer at New Orange, you make sure our Azure infrastructure is not only secure, stable, and scalable, but also enables teams to do their work effectively. You are pragmatic, hands-on, and at the same time able to step back and think architecturally. You build new cloud solutions that are future-proof, while also taking existing infrastructure into account.

You design and build modern cloud infrastructure on Azure that is scalable, secure, and future-proof. In doing so, you work with cloud-native architectures, such as MACH on Azure, while also understanding how existing environments on VMs and App Services operate. You automate infrastructure using Bicep and Terraform, manage deployments through Azure DevOps Pipelines, and ensure identity and access management through Entra ID is properly set up. You are also involved in security best practices, monitoring, cost control, and the availability of platforms.
In this role, you look beyond the technology alone. You anticipate risks, think in systems, and make sure platforms are not only effective, but also manageable and sustainable in the long term. You work closely with developers, QA, Tech Leads, and the architect, based on shared responsibility and trust. In addition, you contribute to platform architecture, standardization, and structural improvements, and explore new solutions that add value to our clients and organization.

At New Orange, we believe in ownership, technical depth, and collaboration. You are part of one or more teams and work iteratively to improve cloud platforms, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
We work entirely in Azure and automate as much as possible using tools such as Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and JSON configurations. You bring experience, learn quickly, and actively share knowledge with the team.
From day one, you receive a share in the company. You become part of a mature, technically strong organization where reliability and pragmatism go hand in hand.
For this role, we are looking for someone with at least five years of experience with Azure, who is able to think architecturally as well as build hands-on. You have solid experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example with Bicep and/or Terraform, and are comfortable working with Azure DevOps Pipelines. In addition, you have practical experience with Entra ID, security, networking, and various Azure services such as App Services, VMs, Functions, and storage.
You are familiar with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and the Well-Architected Framework, and actively apply them when designing, improving, and future-proofing cloud environments. Experience with hub-spoke architectures, network segmentation, and modern cloud-native architectures is important, while experience with a MACH stack is considered a strong plus. You do not see security as something to add afterwards, but as an integral part of your design from the start.
Alongside your technical expertise, you work in a structured and pragmatic way and innovate where it genuinely adds value. You communicate clearly, actively share knowledge with colleagues, and naturally seek collaboration. You are curious, learn quickly, and continue developing yourself in new technologies. You are also fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English.

We set high standards when it comes to craftsmanship and collaboration. Our people are what define us and are the most important part of our organization. We would be glad to meet you and explore the possibilities and opportunities together. At New Orange, you become a co-owner from day one, as you receive a share in the company. And of course, you will work with the best tools and support.
In addition, you can expect a contract of 32 to 40 hours per week, a competitive salary aligned with your knowledge and experience, ranging from €4,500 to €6,250 per month, and at least 27 vacation days based on full-time employment. We also offer a solid pension scheme and plenty of room to grow, in your role as well as personally and professionally. That is how we ensure that both you and New Orange continue to develop.
